First time at Weld River

So today was my first time gem prospecting.
i was only there for 2 hours, but here are my finds.

i am not too sure in what i have. so please help me out

(i know there is spinal and blue sapphires)

HI

Zircon, Sapphire, Spinel, Topaz.

The sapphire is awesome.. and the topaz would cut.
You can tell what they are by their crystal structure if any remains on the specimen. Its the most reliable way. Then colour. hardness etc. Awesome finding too. top effort.

yeah, there is one piece of the sapphire which is a beautiful dark blue :D

it is amazing in what you can find if you look hard enough.

I like your Tanzanite too - nice colour.
