AGM and First Trip

Post by TassieDigger » Sat Jan 16, 2016 7:53 pm

WOW! What a great little adventure.

Exceptional turnout, great people and advice. Very positive, forward looking group.

While I did not find any gold, others did, both detecting and panning.

Looking forward to more trips, each upcoming meeting and ultimately finding some gold :-)

Thanks to all who attended.

An excellent day out, I really enjoyed myself wandering around the old workings and learning some history from Ron. And meeting a lot of new people!

And I had some success with the X-terra 705 finding my first piece of gold with a detector, and a couple of relics.

The piece of gold is .42g

A very worn 1866 sixpence, and an 'improved patent' copper button, which were dug about 2m apart from each other.

I saw a few great finds from other people on the day as well.

Thanks to Miguel and Ron for organising such a successful event, looking forward to the next one.

cheers

Cool finds!
Can I use your picture in the trip report? And if anyone has any pictures of finds or people that I can use, please let me know!
