Thanks, Alwayslookin. I'll go back and explore Lefroy, then, and keep away from Back Creek. Hate to offend anyone, ever.
I'm new to this, and want to keep sweet with leaseholders and not muck it for fellow prospectors. I can't relate the MRT maps, where tenements are shown and the details don't match what the facts are. It's rather irksome. If anyone has the same experience as me with these maps, and they don't ask questions on the forum, and there weren't all the nice people to give guidance, etc, they could be in one big heap of bother. That wouldn't be nice, and they would be just following what the MRT maps appear to show.
Haven't found any gold yet, but haven't had so much fun in a very long time! It's just a matter of time till I do. I'm keen.

I have found what I've been doing wrong, and its a sort of bug in MRT maps for the unwary. I have been saving as bookmarks, something like this. (Lefroy) for example
http://www.mrt.tas.gov.au/webdoc2/app/d ... l?id=38164

Which is fine for just that particular item. However, if you zoom out and go to another area, no matter how close, for instance, move to Back Creek and zoom in, then instead of showing true details when you click inside any tenement, all the tenements' details are now marked as 9999.
Phew! Wonder if anyone else has fallen for that. Anyway, thanks ever so much to everyone who has saved my rear end from prosecution or worse. From now on, I'll always start at the beginning
http://www.mrt.tas.gov.au/mrt_maps/app/list/map
and proceed from there every time.
Thanks again to Miguel for his video on how to use List Maps and MRT maps!
