i had a fantastic idea for a gold "concentratering" device a while ago, based on a bit of nature and a bit of ancient Roman ingenuity and some modern math. To get alluvial gold out of a stream bed, without even being there. I need to test the water proof prototype, then patent it i guess. And, cant say anything about it, till it is done unfortunately. silly patents.. i finally made one out of single sheet of paper at home today and its super easy to make. no glue, no folding, no stickytape, no mirrors. I just need to see if it holds the gold the way i think it will. And, the physics calculations say it will. The paper simply wont last in water lol

i did a fair amount of geology, earth science, hydrology and physics this year to make a product like this. So it not quite pie in the sky. Double the normal university load.

Anyway time will tell. If its good enough and gets enough gold, i may well keep it to myself. and just stick posters up saying "Coming to a creek near you"
