i was reading about Alexander Graham Bell trying to find the bullet lodged in President James Garfield after he got shot in the 1860's with his worlds first metal detector and then found this wonderful bit on early metal detector history and what seems outstanding results. circa 1903. 18 feet to the lode minimum depth.
The forefather of Pulse induction and 3d-IP for sure. This electricery contraption was made 40 years after Alexander Graham Bell made one, so not groundbreaking news. But still valuable knowledge of our early detectors in print. the first hand held detectors arrived in 1925/
