Hi all firstly thanks for the opportunity to join your group.
now on a brighter note I was born in Creswick and my grandfather was a miner there up around the Government dam. and he often told me stories of the gold they used to find there. I had my grandmother teach me to pan for gold when i was a 5 year old in Slatey creek and I have probably walked that creek its entire distance I found good gold on the north Creswick side of the creek and took about 12 oz out of there with a sluice a long time ago.Nice to know that it is still producing Gold. any way just a small story to get us underway oh and i am now 63 and have never lost the burn to prospect...Ian Porter.

Thanks for sharing Ian. I don't think I'd ever lose the burn to prospect either. Gold fever has no cure!
